As Managing Director of Investments, Dan Sutherland is responsible for leading Brixton’s acquisition of shopping centers and other retail properties, including deal sourcing, contract negotiation, due diligence review, and closing.

 

Dan brings extensive knowledge and experience in management, acquisitions, and dispositions, having worked in the public REIT space for 15 years. Prior to joining Brixton Capital, he served as Senior Vice President, Acquisitions and Dispositions at Brixmor Property Group (NYSE: BRX). There, he was responsible for overseeing transactions for the western and midwestern United States, closing over $500M in acquisitions and $700M in dispositions.

 

Dan also served as Vice President of Capital Transactions at Site Centers/DDR (NYSE: SITC), where he closed over $1.3B in transactions across the western and midwest regions. He also held previous acquisition and development roles at TRC Centers and Prologis (NYSE: PLD).

 

Dan received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics with an emphasis in Accounting from UC Santa Barbara and is an active member of ICSC and ULI.
